Articulation Therapy at Moore Speech is dedicated to enhancing an individual’s ability to produce speech sounds accurately. Each therapy session is meticulously tailored to the individual’s specific needs, utilizing strategies designed to generalize correct sound production and improve overall precision

Voice therapy at Moore Speech is designed to expertly address challenges individuals face with their vocal quality, pitch, loudness, and resonance. These issues can impact various aspects of communication, including clarity, endurance, and vocal health. Our specialized approach emphasizes the importance of early intervention, which is critical in fostering effective vocal skills and ensuring success in both personal and professional environments.

Language therapy at Moore Speech is designed to expertly address challenges children face in understanding and using spoken, written, and other forms of language. These disorders can impact multiple facets of language, including receptive language (comprehension), expressive language (speech), and pragmatic language (social communication). Our highly skilled approach emphasizes the importance of early intervention, which is critical in fostering effective communication skills and ensuring success in both academic and social environments.

The Habit Elimination Program at Moore Speech employs a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to eradicate sucking habits. While psychodynamic therapy, mechanical devices, and various behavior modification therapies are commonly used, data consistently supports the effectiveness of behavior modification. Our program integrates conscious awareness, motivation, positive reinforcement, and a structured reward system to achieve successful outcomes. Typically, the elimination of the sucking habit is achieved within ten days and/or nights. Following this period, we provide ongoing monitoring and celebrate your child’s progress, tailoring our support to their individual needs to ensure lasting success.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy at Moore Speech is a specialized therapeutic approach focused on improving the function and coordination of the muscles of the mouth, face, and throat. This therapy addresses a variety of oral and facial muscle dysfunctions, including improper tongue posture, swallowing difficulties, and habits such as thumb/finger sucking, tongue thrusting, and mouth breathing. Through a series of tailored exercises and techniques, therapy aims to correct these dysfunctions, promoting optimal oral and facial muscle function. Benefits include improved speech clarity, enhanced chewing and swallowing efficiency, better dental alignment, and overall improved airway health. This therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals of all ages experiencing difficulties related to oral and facial muscle function, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
